Carolyn Watkins, Age 48, Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
I was diagnosed with MS 10 years ago, last year, after a severe attack of sciatica and advice from my neurologist to get fit. I joined MiGym. Within a couple of weeks the sciatica had cleared up.
The staff at MiGym are really friendly and to be honest, I might well have given up if I didnt have the motivation of my personal trainer.
I am really happy with the level of fitness I have achieved, particularly as I was coming from a really low base. My body shape has changed, for the better! All my friend have noticed and commented positively, which is nice. I have also lost weight and inches which is certainly a bonus.
My son has recently joined MiGym and he really enjoys it. If you are considering joining, my advice would be to go for it. It can only do you good.

John Hennessy – Solicitor – Chronic Back problem
Following two severe traumas, I had a chronic back problem where even performing my daily routine of work was a real challenge. Moving around without pain was a problem and the prospect of an active life seemed increasingly slim. I was told by my surgeon that I would never play sport again. I took the initiative, unwilling to accept that prognosis and sought a personal trainer. One of the trainers at MiGym had a background in pilates and conditioning and through a series of effective and progressive exercises my back problem and mobility soon improved greatly. Two years on and I’m playing football twice per week, am a regular golfer and have even been mountain biking. All pain free. I owe that to regular exercise under expert tuition.

Niall O’Connor – Age 35 – Lost 15kg (2 1/2 stone)
After recovering from a broken ankle, received from playing football, i returned to playing but had put on a considerable amount of weight. This put an increasing strain on my lower back. Though I tried a variety of training techniques and different gyms, I had failed to lose considerable weight or keep the weight I had lost off. It was recommended to me to try the Pilates class in MiGym as a way to improve my back and postural issues. After the initial positive results I achieved from the Pilates classes I decided on a course of personal training, specific for Pilates and weight loss. In less than six months I lost over 15 kg and finally returned to playing football at the high level I was used to. As well as improving my physical condition, my confidence and vitality increased dramatically. Thanks to the motivation and intense but enjoyable sessions I received in MiGym with my trainer.

Sheena Freeman – Age 25 – Low Energy
Last Christmas while working in a busy retail store I found myself struggling to perform my everyday duties. I would often take a nap during my lunchbreak in the canteen. Sick of being tired and starting to put on some unwanted weight, I decided to look for a gym. MiGym popped up on my internet search. I joined the club and my trainer quickly set me out a challenging program. I visit on average 3 nights per week and meet for a one to one session with my personal trainer every two weeks. This I found was great motivation to stick to my program. I made changes to my diet and lifestyle, but im not starving myself nor is alcohol completely banned. I also took up kickboxing after a few months, which I really enjoy. I have lost several inches off my size, I am more toned due to decreased bodyfat, and my fitness level is better than ever. No more sleeping in the canteen.
